COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 3-hour refresher session is ideal for those who wish to practice and reinforce what they’ve learned between training days, in a more relaxed and hands-on setting. It is also designed for sailors looking to accumulate nautical miles to advance from Crew Member or Proficient Crew Member to Skipper, or for those who simply wish to reacquaint themselves with sailing after several years away from the water.

At the start of the activity, the captain will take the time to discuss with participants their goals and the maneuvers they wish to practice. The outing is then tailored to the group’s needs to provide a practical, dynamic, and enriching experience.

During the sail, each participant will be invited to actively take part in various cruising maneuvers, allowing them to develop their reflexes, gain confidence, and reinforce their skills in a safe and friendly environment.

The activity lasts 3 hours, including boarding and returning to the club.

Sailing area

Lac des Deux-Montagnes is considered an exceptional place to learn to sail. Its vast expanse of water offers a safe and relatively uncrowded environment, allowing beginners to sail in complete safety, while benefiting from variable wind conditions for an enriching learning experience.

Additional Information

The activity takes place aboard a 26-foot Tanzer, the Azimut, which is also used for our cruising sailing courses. Capacity is intentionally limited to three participants to ensure optimal practice time for everyone, whereas many schools accommodate up to four participants per boat. The advanced evening sessions are conducted in French.

Advanced evening sessions are held with a minimum of two participants. If the minimum number is not met, the customer will be invited to reschedule the activity, or a private lesson option may be offered to the registered student.
