SAILING CAMP

• 5 to 17 years •

Sailing camps provide an opportunity to discover the sport of sailing in a safe, supervised, and stimulating environment. They emphasize the enjoyment of being on the water, water safety, and the development of sailing skills, based on the Canadian Sailing Federation’s CanSail program. Our programs enable young people to acquire essential knowledge such as the principles of sailing, including wind and weather theory, rigging, knots, boat handling, and navigation on boats adapted to their age.

Did you know?

Did you know that the Quebec government offers a beneficial program to alleviate the costs of day camps for your children? The Childcare Expense Tax Credit Program, commonly known as T24, allows parents to benefit from a tax credit for childcare expenses incurred during the summer period.

This program is excellent news for families considering joining us for our sailing camps. By enrolling your child in our camp, not only will they enjoy a rewarding and entertaining experience, but you could also benefit from significant cost reduction through T24.

The activities offered by our sailing camp are eligible for T24, meaning that registration fees can be deducted from your taxable income, thereby reducing the total amount you have to pay. It’s a fantastic opportunity to allow your child to discover the world of sailing while optimizing your family finances.

Feel free to consult the details and specific conditions of the T24 Program on the official website of the Quebec government. We are here to help you maximize the benefits of this program and make this sailing experience as accessible as possible for your family.

IMPORTANT

If you choose not to provide your social insurance number when registering your child, it is your responsibility to provide us with this information by phone.

No tax credit can be issued if we do not receive your social insurance number.

ADVANCED SAILING CAMP (CANSAIL 3 & 4)

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. •

Advanced sailing camps are part of the athlete sailing program and are designed for young sailors who want to deepen their sailing skills and develop the more advanced technical and tactical skills needed for regattas. Designed for teenagers who already have a good level of sailing experience, this camp focuses on CanSail 3 & 4 and emphasizes performance, precision maneuvers, and a detailed understanding of how the boat behaves in different wind conditions.

Supervised by qualified coaches, participants will work on sail trim, boat handling, advanced maneuvers, and the basics of racing tactics and strategy. The camp also aims to strengthen autonomy on the water, decision-making, and effort management, while promoting safe and structured progress.

These camps are excellent preparation for regattas or more sustained independent sailing. If your child shows a particular interest in this sport, we invite you to discover our athlete sailing program, which allows them to train all summer and join the club team to participate in outside regattas.

Prerequisites

Young people wishing to participate in advanced sailing camps must have achieved CanSail Level 2 or be well on their way to achieving it. If you are unsure of your child’s level, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss it. We will be happy to assess the situation with you.
